Google's Chrome can suggest Gmail details in online forms, including order and flight references.

## The big change

- Gmail details can appear beside an online form, saving a trip to the inbox.
- The suggested value still needs to match the transaction and the receiving site; a plausible-looking reference can belong to another booking or order.
- In the US, Gemini in Chrome users aged 18 or older need Personal Intelligence; Photos access is planned later.

## The information changes; the destination still matters

Google's [feature announcement](https://blog.google/products-and-platforms/products/chrome/enhanced-autofill-gmail/) says the rollout covers desktop, Android and iOS. Chrome settings control whether enhanced autofill is on and what it can access. BIG CHANGE has not observed an eligible account or tested a form.

Google's [Android autofill help](https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142893?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en-0) says suggestions carry a Gemini icon. A user can hold the suggestion above the keyboard and choose View sources to open the original Gmail message, or Remove suggestion if it is outdated. Removing the suggestion does not delete the email; deleting the email removes the suggestion.

On Android, Google places the control under Settings → Autofill and passwords → Enhanced autofill, where Find and fill with Gemini can be turned on or off. These are documented Android controls; BIG CHANGE has not verified them on an eligible device.

## Personalization is an additional connection

Google's [January description of Personal Intelligence](https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/products/gemini-app/personal-intelligence/) explains the broader mechanism as reasoning across connected sources and retrieving specific details. It describes optional app connections and a distinction between existing limited connections and the enhanced personalization experience. That earlier announcement is context for how retrieval can work, not proof of today's account eligibility.

The new autofill announcement does not document every matching rule, sensitive-field exclusion or error-recovery path. In its January Personal Intelligence announcement, Google acknowledged that responses can be inaccurate or connect unrelated topics. That was a warning about the broader Gemini feature, not a measured error rate for Chrome autofill.

Google's separate [Chrome autofill privacy explanation](https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/14271924) says Chrome sends form structure, field names and a hashed site domain to Google to help match fields with saved information. It describes safeguards including generic data types and noise in some form attributes. That page addresses Chrome autofill generally; it does not specify every data flow for the new Gmail-based suggestions.

The broader [Gemini Connected Apps privacy guidance](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/16836988?hl=en-12) also distinguishes an inbox from information derived during a Gemini interaction. Google says it does not train directly on the Gmail inbox, while relevant summaries or excerpts may be used to improve models when the applicable activity setting is on. This describes Gemini Apps activity, not a finding about what happens in a particular Chrome autofill session.

The same guidance says disconnecting an app does not remove information already in Gemini Apps Activity. Google provides activity controls and a way to turn off Keep Activity for future chats. For someone reviewing the broader connection, stopping future access and managing retained activity are therefore separate decisions.
