Geely launched the Galaxy Battleship 700 in China on October 10. Its product page calls the plug-in hybrid SUV an “AI all-terrain” vehicle and groups suspension control, terrain modes, a cabin assistant and driving assistance under that broad description. The useful question is which part does what, and which versions actually carry it.
The chassis starts with physical components. Geely lists double-wishbone suspension at both ends in its general feature section, along with dual-chamber air springs and continuously controlled damping (CCD) shock absorbers. It says the dampers can be adjusted 500 times a second. A road-preview feature is described as looking ahead at the surface and adapting the chassis. Those are Geely's specifications and descriptions; BIG CHANGE has not tested the ride or the speed of its response.
## Chassis components vary by trim
The trim list narrows the broad presentation. The entry Exploration version lists front double wishbones and a rear five-link suspension, plus CCD dampers. The next Exploration+ version adds the road-preview feature. The three-motor, four-wheel-drive Yufeng version lists G-ATS, Geely's intelligent all-terrain system. The Yufeng+ version explicitly lists dual-chamber air suspension. A higher 2.0-liter version lists double wishbones at both ends. The product page says to consult its full specification table and that the delivered vehicle governs the final equipment.
Geely describes G-ATS as offering one intelligent all-terrain mode, three everyday modes and six off-road terrain modes. In plain terms, this is a set of selectable and automatic terrain settings associated with the vehicle's off-road hardware. The page does not explain the system's internal decision rules or provide independent measurements showing how it performs across terrain. The trim list is also a reminder that the full advertised stack should not be read as standard equipment on every Battleship 700.
## The cabin and driving assistance are separate systems
Inside, Geely names Flyme Auto 2 as the cabin system and Super Eva as its AI assistant. The company describes Eva as responding to instructions. That is a cabin interaction claim, separate from the suspension hardware and terrain settings.
Geely also advertises D2D parking-space-to-parking-space navigation assistance, toll-gate passage, roundabout handling and APA parking assistance. Its trim list assigns H5 driving-assistance hardware to several middle versions and H7 to the two highest versions; the base Exploration listing has neither. The product page does not assign every advertised assistance maneuver to each trim. These are assisted-driving features as presented by Geely, not evidence that the vehicle drives without a human responsible for it. Their real-world operation, conditions and limits need independent assessment.
China-facing ordering and test-drive links are live on Geely's page. Independent launch coverage by Autohome and DoNews reports six versions. The sources do not establish delivery or demonstrated performance of every feature.
## The big change
- **What changed:** Geely is selling an SUV whose “AI” pitch spans adjustable chassis hardware, terrain modes, a cabin assistant and assisted driving. The trim list shows that these capabilities enter at different points in the range.
- **Why it matters:** Someone evaluating an AI-enabled vehicle can ask a more precise question than whether it “has AI”: does the chosen version include road preview, G-ATS, air suspension or a particular driving-assistance package? Each serves a different task.
- **What to watch:** The practical test is how those named features work on the road and which are present on a delivered trim. Geely supplies specifications and feature descriptions, while independent evidence of performance and detailed operating limits remains to be established.
