Google documents positive-only AI review text in Search ads. Advertisers cannot edit it; display depends on predicted performance.

## What the ad text represents

Google says it draws on online reviews and uses grounding standards. The page identifies no sites or sample for an individual summary. We could not verify its link to those reviews. Because Google allows only positive material, a summary cannot establish how representative it is of the broader review population.

On Google's account, reviewers supply source text; Google generates and selects the ad commentary. Its positive-only design supplies no measure of how common favorable views are in the claimed source population.

## Access and controls

Google lists English Search at all Google.com positions in the US, Australia, UK and India, on supported devices; sensitive categories including pharmaceuticals are excluded. The page states no setup, fee or quota.

A [separate Google page on account-level automated assets](https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7175034) describes general reporting, opt-out and click charges. It does not list review summaries among its asset types, so it does not establish this feature's exact controls or cost. We did not test an account or inspect a live ad.

## The big change

- Google describes positive-only commentary.
- Advertisers cannot edit it.
- Review balance remains unknown.
