Learn AI basics in seven study sessions and check what you understand

Use seven study sessions to map AI history, understand machine learning and language models, inspect one permitted task, check a real claim and teach it back.

The big change

What changed: BIG CHANGE has joined public lessons on AI history, machine-learning methods, neural networks and language models into a proposed seven-session workbook with written checks.

Why it matters: A beginner can keep the explanations, quiz feedback and corrected work in one file. That makes a missed concept or an unsupported claim visible before relying on a model's fluent answer.

What to watch: The actual task artifact, source-checked claim and corrected teach-back show where the reader's explanation holds up. Record unfinished prerequisites and return to them in later sessions.

Fine-tune GPT-OSS-20B for multilingual reasoning on HyperPod

A source-checked guide to AWS's five-language GPT-OSS-20B evaluation: run SFT, inspect language results, test GRPO only where needed, and clean up GPU resources.

The big change

For this five-language test, AWS's SFT run changed GPT-OSS-20B's measured reasoning-language compliance from 11/50 to 50/50. That supports trying SFT first when an observed language behavior is largely absent.

AWS's GRPO run produced four more final answers in the requested language on the same 50 prompts, while one language slice declined. The next decision belongs to a held-out evaluation that reflects the actual users and tasks.

The released sample makes the experiment inspectable, but its moved directory, stale base-image build path and hardcoded checkpoint require attention. Teams also need a 16-GPU SFT environment, explicit artifact handling and cleanup.
