Pomelli can turn a product in its Catalog into campaign images with text. The useful finish line is a set of downloaded files that the business owner has opened and checked against the real product, approved copy and the place the files may be used. Google's Campaign help, checked on 20 October 2026, documents the controls below. BIG CHANGE has not run a Pomelli campaign or tested the exported files; the checks are for you to perform in your account.

The big change

  • What changed: Pomelli's documented product route connects a reviewed Business Profile and Catalog item to an editable Campaign brief, generated images with text and downloadable files.
  • Why it matters: The owner can correct the brief before Confirm and edit individual assets after generation. Those are two separate chances to catch a wrong product claim or offer before use.
  • What to watch: An approved brief and a creative that looks right in Pomelli do not establish that the downloaded file is accurate or usable. Open the file and verify its facts, product depiction, rights and destination fit before anyone posts it.

What you need before you start

Start with a reviewed Pomelli Business Profile. Our Business Profile guide covers how to create and correct one; it ends before campaign production. You also need an approved product or service description, a source product page if you plan to import by URL, images you have permission to use, and an owner who can approve the finished material. Write down any offer terms, price, intended message and destination requirements that apply to this campaign. Do not ask Pomelli to supply missing product facts.

Pomelli is currently an experiment available in English to people aged 18 or older in supported countries and territories. Features may differ by country. Use an authorized Google account and check the controls available to it. If a Workspace account cannot access Pomelli, ask its administrator to review access; do not move business material to a personal account to get around an organization rule. Google's access help says current use has no charge and a finite allowance of image and video generations. Treat both conditions as current experimental terms, rather than a permanent price or quota.

1. Check the Business Profile

Open Business Profile and compare the business details, colors, fonts and imagery with the owner's references. These inputs inform Pomelli's campaign material. If a populated field is wrong, Google says you can edit it directly on the left. On a computer, you can also describe a specific correction to Pomelli Agent on the right. Read the corrected field back before continuing. An unresolved brand or business fact is a reason to stop here. The Profile and Catalog help documents these controls.

2. Save and verify one Catalog item

Open Catalog. To import a product page, select Add from Url, enter that product's specific URL and select Add. To build the item yourself, select Add from scratch, enter its approved name and description, upload a permitted image and select Create catalog item. These are two different save controls in Google's Catalog instructions.

Open the saved item. Compare its name, description and image with the owner's source. Check any displayed URL, price or offer against the approved information too; a website import is not an accuracy check. For an error, use the item's Edit and Update controls, then reopen it to see whether the correction persisted. If the item still misstates the product, keep it out of the campaign.

3. Select the product and approve the Campaign brief

From the checked Catalog item, select Create Campaign. Google's other documented entry is Campaigns → Product in the prompt box → select the product → Generate. Use the route your account shows. Both lead to a Campaign brief that you can edit before Confirm, according to Campaign help.

Read the brief against the approved product and campaign instructions. Check the product named, the proposed message, every factual statement and any audience or offer assumption it contains. Change what the interface permits, and get the owner's agreement on material claims and terms before selecting Confirm. If a required correction cannot be made or verified, stop. Keep destination and approval requirements in your own brief when Pomelli does not expose a corresponding control.

4. Inspect and edit every creative

Pomelli says a Campaign generates a set of image-with-text assets. Open each candidate in the editor. Its documented controls include changing the image, header, description and call to action, adjusting typography and visual elements, and using Fix layout. Inspect an asset again after each correction. Google also documents optional Animate for a 9:16 creative; animation is not required for a checked download.

Compare the depicted product with an approved reference image: shape, color, texture, label and logo matter. Google warns that generated images can change fine product details. Check every visible claim, price, offer condition and link or call to action against the owner's approved information. Check that the image and any logo or other protected work may be used for this purpose. A generated scene should not be presented as a record of a real product setting or event. Reject an asset with an unresolved material error or missing rights; a polished layout cannot settle those questions.

5. Download, open and approve the files

Download only the creatives that passed review. Open the actual files, rather than relying on their appearance in Pomelli. Confirm that the correct text and image survived export, the product and logo are represented accurately, nothing important was cut off, and the text remains legible at the intended destination. Compare each file with that destination's current specifications. Google's Campaign help documents download but does not give one universal file format, dimension or asset count, so inspect what your account produced.

Keep a record of which files the owner accepted and the Catalog item and brief they came from. If a file fails, correct the relevant item, brief or creative, then download and inspect it again. The task is complete when the intended files open and the owner approves their facts, visual depiction, rights and destination fit. Posting or launching an ad is a separate decision; these files do not establish reach, sales or any other marketing result.

If the workflow stalls

Google says website analysis can fail when a site uses a CAPTCHA or another bot block. Use an authorized from-scratch or template Profile route if needed; do not bypass the site's protection. If a Catalog or Campaign action seems uncertain, inspect what was saved before repeating it. Where a later creative disagrees with the source, trace the claim back through the Profile, Catalog item and brief, correct the earliest wrong input and review the resulting asset again. If a control is unavailable to your account, or a material discrepancy cannot be resolved, leave the creative unapproved.
